Win The Lost... At Any Cost

This catchy phrase, which is becoming very popular within christian circles, easily describes the very lifestyle of our Lord Jesus Christ! He grew up, breathed, endured the greatest of all hardships, and bled out His very life upon the cross... just to save the lost! With His own lips He revealed that He had come to, "seek & to save the lost"- Luke 19:10

'Win the lost... at any cost'... was actually Jesus' last & great commandment given to His followers on the very day He returned to Heaven. Mark 16:15 declares... we are to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature".

And where is 'all the world'... you might ask? Look around you... wherever you find people... that's a good place to start. Your world will include those in your circle... friends, acquaintances (the barber or beautician), your work place, but first and foremost... it will start with your family. Have all of your family members asked Jesus to be their Lord and to save them? Ask them! Another place inthe bible exhorts us to... "compel them to come"! Pretty strong directives? You bet...their eternal destination depends on their response to the Lord's sacrifice (and NOT any of their own 'goodnesses', i might add). So let's reach out to them... urge them... and continue to pray for them if they refuse.

Now, let's talk about... the rest of the world... about places & peoples that have yet to hear of the cross. Places like... India, Asia, & China. Did you know that there are places near to where we live in India where, if we asked if they knew Jesus they would respond by telling us to look in the next village 'cause, ... "he doesn't live here"!

These people... who have never heard... deserve to hear... at least once! Shall we not do whatever is in our power... to get this message of salvation out to them?

What is it... costing us... to obey the Lord's last command? Selah. Think upon this.

Are we happy that we are saved,... our family is saved... and content to sit in our seats and enjoy the ride... 'til the Lord come?

I want to stir you up... to start seeing as the Lord Jesus sees the world... your world & those who have yet to hear of Him. The next person that we meet or talk to... is going to quit breathing one day on this planet... and their very next experience will be one of the greatest pleasures that could ever dreamed of, or, the worst horrid, nightmarish existence that they would never desire for anyone to go thru... and,... it will last forever.

Let's do something about this... about helping people to reach Heaven. Let's stop and ask people... where are you going? Many people are so filled with themselves, their jobs, their goals, their victories, their pleasures, etc... yet it will all vanish in a split second... and then eternity will take over... with only two destinations available on the menu.... both, which can only be decided upon while we're still alive.

At this point I want us to pray... to ask the lord to help us... to start seeing people as He sees them, namely, 'lost' and needing a Savior. And we must also ask His help to reach out to them and to connect them to Jesus.... no matter what the 'cost' to us.

And, what about the ones who are waiting to hear for the first time? What shall we do about them? It is in ... your hands, as well. The Dani team is ready to go... your church's missionary teams are ready to go... their radio & tevlevison teams are ready to go... but their going to need your help to ... "go".

To obey the Lord's command it will... cost us... something-- either our sweat & tears at work, making the monies to send out the troops, or, by facing the enemy on the front lines and bringing the glorious message of the Cross to the lost. It costs.

Salvation didn't cost us anything... but it cost Jesus everything... to present it, cost free.

I am encouraging you to now consider... what you will do with the rest of your lives... before you reach your eternal home? Will you take action... and determine to 'win the lost at any cost'? Are you going to make phone calls to your world... or start giving to your missionary teams...? Will you start praying for the lost (on a daily basis)... and for the missonaries that will reach them?

After having lived out in 'the land of the lost' for some years now... I know how easy it is to... relax and sort of wait til Jesus comes back... or, of the frustrations of not having the funds to get the job done... and done right! Vehicles, soundsystems, translators, support teams, cameras & tv air-time, all require m-o-n-e-y! Without the support... nothing gets done.

In 1983 when we returned to Beirut, Lebanon as part of the multi-national peacekeeping force, we had no idea of the cost... of getting the job done right. We immediately embarked on filling sandbags & reinforcing our positions and we sweated day & night for 2 weeks. Suddenly, without warning, we were in our first firefight with the enemy. It seemed forever... with chaos & confusion & fear flying all around. My company lost 9 men that night, some were my friends. Soon every week we were in a firefight of one sort or another. But the one thing that caught my attention was this... once we started the fighting... our support teams... started sending us brand new equipment... more powerful weapons & hardware that we had never dreamed of started to appear... just to get the job done... and done right!

Now, many of you are sitting in your families, in your jobs, in your churches... as the support teams whom God Himself has positioned... and He is calling you... to arise and help those who are in need... to get the job done... and done right! You have a divine purpose on this earth... and it is not so that you can live the lifestyle of the rich & famous (though God is not against that at all-- actually, He is the author of prosperity).

You have been chosen to... get His job done... to 'win the lost ... at any cost'!
